Newark, Calif., April 17, 2012 – Neato Robotics™, a Silicon Valley company that pioneers new technologies and products to free people from household chores, today announced the appointment of Mike Perkins as Vice President of Engineering and Gurmeet Grewal as Vice President of Worldwide Operations.
As Vice President of Engineering, Perkins is responsible for all engineering, technology and product development for Neato Robotics. His role will include leading the company’s expanded engineering team in refining and integrating its laser-guidance systems, sophisticated real-time software and vacuum technologies into enhanced and new products.
As Vice President of Worldwide Operations, Grewal is overseeing demand planning, materials management, manufacturing process improvements, product quality control, cost reduction, and operations budget management.

With more than three decades of engineering leadership, Perkins most recently served as Vice President of Product Development and Technology at Plantronics where he managed all worldwide engineering and design. He has worked with Hewlett-Packard in a variety of senior management roles for more than 20 years, including Vice President and General Manager of the Voodoo Business Unit and Vice President of R&D for HP’s Consumer PC Division. Perkins led worldwide engineering for LeapFrog Enterprises from 2002 to 2005 as Senior Vice President of R&D. He earned his Bachelor of Science degrees in Applied Mechanics and Biomedical Engineering from the University of California at San Diego, in addition to post-graduate engineering studies at Stanford University.
Prior to joining Neato Robotics, Grewal was most recently Vice President of Supply Chain Operations at Pace and 2Wire, a leading developer of set-top boxes for cable, satellite and IPTV operators. He served as Director of Supplier Development, Strategic Sourcing, Business Unit Operations, and Program Management at Logitech, Inc. between 2000 and 2008. Grewal earned his Executive Master of Business Administration degree from Golden Gate University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Punjab University.
